The dance competition just gets better and better with every year, so we can't wait to see what you guys have in store for 2013. Dance in a group, or dance solo, or even do both! This year, the stage will be bigger, the trophies will be grander, and the competition more fierce. Sign up today if you think you have what it takes to be our next Anime Day Dance Champion!
Rules
1. Only solo dancers or groups of up to 8 people will be allowed to participate in the dance contest.
2. Competitors who wish to sign up on the day of the convention MUST bring their own CD. We will not be able to accept iPods, laptops, cellphones, etc. We will not hold your phone up to the mic -trust us, it does not work.
3. All music and dances must be appropriate for all ages. Please remember that this is a family friendly convention.
4. Only small stage props will be allowed, such as batons, streamers, etc. If you're unsure about it, ask.
5. Music and dances do not have to be Anime related. We're open to any type of dancing -do the ChaCha if you want to!
6. Competitors will be asked to check in by the stage at least 10 minutes before the beginning of the competition.
7. Competitors will be judged based on performance, technical difficulty, and stage presence.
8. All dances must be a minimum of 1 minute long, with a maximum of 6 minutes.
9. Competitors may enter with as many groups as they wish, however all groups, as well as as solo entries, may enter only once. For example, a competitor may enter as a solo entry, then enter as a group entry, then enter with another group as long as the 2nd group is different than the first.
10. Anime Day, Hansha Studios, Texas Station, and all their affiliates will not be held liable for any injuries incurred by any participants in the dance competition. Please dance safely!
